Located at the Malaysia Booth, this year MyCEB together with its industry partners continues to strengthen and increase Malaysia's visibility as Asia’s Business Events Hub while enabling to connect with key players in the business events industry, keep up-to-date with the latest developments in the meetings industry as well as further enhance our ideas and knowledge which will help stimulate Malaysia's business events industry to the forefront.
Since 2011, MyCEB, an agency under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia (MOTAC) continues to showcase and stage Malaysia as Asia’s Business Events Hub in the region. This trade show is a timely platform as currently Malaysia is celebrating the Visit Malaysia 2020 throughout the year. The campaign targets to welcome 30 million international tourists and RM100 billion in tourist receipts.
Initiated by MyCEB, the highly popular ‘Malaysia Like Never Before’ (MNLB) campaign aims to provide more interesting options and ideas for planners. The campaign highlights the unique and new experiences of five key Malaysian destinations: Kuala Lumpur, George Town, Langkawi, Sabah and Sarawak specifically for the corporate meetings and incentive market.
Following a similar concept as the previous Malaysia Twin Deal (MTD) programme, the new MTD maintains the incentive Deal 1 and Deal 2 which offer rewards for both participants and meeting planners, to further enhance the success of their events. Deal 1 of MTD offers international corporate meetings and incentive groups with a minimum of 30 participants, various value-added supports where larger groups stand to gain more, such as complimentary cultural performance, photo booth, welcome banner and partial sponsorship for gala night.
Deal 2 offers incentive rewards for corporate meetings and incentive planners and is based on cumulative numbers of participants. The corporate meetings and incentive planners will stand a chance to be rewarded with iPad, a vacation for two to Kuala Lumpur or any two preferred destinations in Malaysia. Additionally, the MTD rewards programme also includes special cumulative rewards for planners with a minimum of 3,000 participants for an educational trip to Malaysia for up to ten corporate clients of international corporate meetings and incentive planner. The MTD is applicable for booking period from 1st April 2019 - 30th November 2020 and groups need to arrive by 31 December 2020.
Malaysia continues to participate annually at AIME to promote the country in the international business events market while strengthening and increasing Malaysia’s visibility as an attractive business events destination. The Malaysia pavilion will feature 16 exhibitors representing the state bureaus, convention centres, hotels & resorts, destination management companies (DMC) and airlines. (refer to Appendix 1 for a complete industry partners listing).
