Now in its ninth consecutive year of participation at the prominent roadshow, Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), an agency under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia has taken this platform to uplift the country’s position of running business events on an international scale.
From January – June 2019, MyCEB together with its partners secured a total of 75 international conferences, incentive groups and trade exhibition events with a total estimated economic impact value of RM 978.5 million. This highlights Malaysia’s strength as a leading business events destination among international meeting and event planners.
It is also forecasted that business tourism would be contributing RM 3.9 million in incremental Gross National Income (GNI) and creating 16,720 additional job vacancies.
This year, the Malaysian delegation to IMEX America 2019 is leaded by MyCEB, together with the participation of seven industry partners, which are Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau, Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Sabah International Convention Centre, Destination Asia Destination Management Sdn. Bhd., Panorama Holidays (M) Sdn. Bhd., and Asian Trails (M).
